LP & CD Redesign
The goal of this project was to redesign and reimagine an existing album cover into a cohesive collection of LP and CD covers and discs, utilizing photography, typography, and photo editing.
Chosen Album and Concept
I chose to redesign Something for Everybody by Sammy Rae and the Friends.
Original album cover & band
This was the band's debut full-length album, so it explores the diversity of their sound, moving between and fusing multiple genres. The listener also gets a sense of the optimistic, uplifting, and welcoming vibe of "The Friends".
Concept: I employed a storage theme, incorporating elements such as storage units, boxes, cardboard textures, typography, and random collections of items, combined with vibrant color schemes to reimagine the design while still paying homage to the original. I wanted to capture the essence of new beginnings, as well as the funky and upbeat sound of their music, and the eclecticism that comes with discovering a new sound and exploring a variety of genres.
